Since November 2015, when we presented SEOZoom to everyone, six years have already passed. On the launch date we made available to our users a different and pioneering vision of the SEO and one of a kind tools. Our competitors continued to work on keyword placements and did so for several years more before following our lead. To date it seems really crazy to me that in 2015 you already had at your disposal the Editorial Assistant and algorithms specific to the Search Intent, and monitoring of the pages and their content, things that only in recent months are starting to be offered, in a fairly embryonic form, even on other tools.
We are almost ready to release the new Suite and we do so with the awareness that the “Old Suite” is still 3 years ahead of competitors for innovative features. The new one is really another planet! It will take a lot of time and dedication on my part to explain all the new features and the potential that makes every single tool available to you.

Before moving on to the New Suite, I want to quickly remind you of all the innovation that SEOZoom has made available to the Italian and international SEO world as, as you will see from my posts and their dates, everything was always born here in SEOZoom before being seen elsewhere. I am really proud of how much freshness we have brought to the Italian SEO scene and of the possibility that we have given you to work on SEO in the right way, on the search intentions of users (all we talk about nowadays), on optimized contents without producing spam (that is also what it’s all about today), on the crawl budget and content performance, but especially for allowing you to do it first and best of all with six years of advantage!

Since birth, SEOZoom had the editorial assistant, this year (2021) many tools were born trying to do what SEOZoom is already being doing for the past 6 years, luckily they are still far from reaching the basic features of our 2015 tool, when I will actually talk to you about the new Editorial Assistant I’m sure you will be amazed, it’s a further leap forward of another 6 years (we must always grant you the advantage, right?).

Let’s talk about Search Intent, an extremely popular topic in the last two years, bounces and bounces among the news of new features made by other international tools. My greatest pride is that I have allowed you to work on these “modern” aspects since 2015 using SEOZoom to locate Transactional, Navigational, Informational keywords but, above all, identifying a writing pattern so to be able to please Google and get results in SERP. Thanks to this tool successfull editorial portals were born, that still thank us for the genius put in these tools.

In 2016, just 5 months after the release of the Suite we had already made an epochal change, once again first in the world, to monitor the performance of pages and not just of individual keywords, since every page can rank for countless keywords and it didn’t make sense the old keyword/position approach. Also in this case we have offered you years of lead over who used tools of the competitors who then adapted. Just think that a well-known tool announced this new feature just a few days ago collecting an absurd echo on various social… Well, yes, I am a bit envious, I would like to have all this resonance but I will have to be content to provide you users with these goodies six years in advance 🙂 can be fine as a gratification.

The features that in 2021 our competitors are advertising, in our timeline, were all invented and made available to you users before 2016 and absurdly, some were also replaced with new innovative versions a few years later.
So we still have some leeway to sit around? Not very, no 🙂 Let’s go on, “here we go again”, we made it big time with the new Suite.

In 2019 we replaced page management, which was so innovative two years earlier, with a completely new section, the Content section of the site, where the single page had its weight but was not only determined only by its rankings, a fundamental role was played by its content and it is precisely on what we have focused the development of Search Intent analysis engines expressed in a document. At the same time, tools have been introduced to improve the focus of the pages on the Search Intent identified by Google. To this day we are still the only ones in the world to provide something so accurate… but, spoiler, even for us that is old now, you will see in the new suite how we made a huge leap forward.

Among the latest updates, before starting the development of the new Suite, we have a fundamental tool to understand what our organic competitors have done in their web pages and what they have done has pleased Google. This was the first step towards real-time content analysis and Search Intent to provide reliable insights that are always up-to-date to the second.

At the time of this latest update, SEOZoom was no longer the smallest company of 2015 but a small growing company, a company that for a long time has heard the question:
But why don’t you open up to international markets?” and he had to answer in full sincerity:
Because we are small and do not know how to sell abroad and each market would cost us hundreds of thousands of euros in infrastructure” 🙂
But at the same time we were the small company that everyone asked, and still ask, how it was possible that two people (Giuseppe and I) could create innovative algorithms and ideas at an impressive speed, keeping behind competitors with more than 500 employees.

Today we are ready for the big step and to those who asked us if sooner or later we would enrich the Suite with the databases of other nations, we can finally say YES, in the new version we have the Italian, British, Spanish, French and German databases:

but the need to open to other markets arises from a single, strictly personal need, that of taking the place we deserve among innovators in the sector, We are not interested in the economic aspect, but rather that everyone would actually know where all the innovations that you are seeing in the last 10 years in the SEO Tools field come from.

And so we come to the end of what was supposed to be a short story, those who know me well know that I get easily carried away, and let’s talk about the new suite.

What changes with the new version of SEOZoom

The change is total, the old suite has practically nothing left if we want to talk about what is under the hood. As for the user interface and most of the work dynamics to which you were accustomed, we made sure to maintain many similarities and to make some processes much simpler and immediate.

Before I go into the description of all the new features, of the new analysis algorithms and completely new sections, I want to first focus on the more general aspects of the interface that you will find around a bit all over the suite like the brand new action buttons of the grids, the orders and the exports data in XLS.

Basic features of the new data grids

Many of you had asked us about the possibility of ordering grids for multiple columns at the same time and allowing more massive data export even for large amounts of data. In the past we could not provide all this freedom of querying data because we had, and still have, the richest keyword database in the world for every single language. Just think that in Italy we talk about more than a billion keywords and to apply multiple filters on multiple fields would have been extremely slow performance.
In the new Suite we had a different approach and we were able to provide you with the required functionality in all the grids of the Project section thanks to the use of new technologies on which I do not need to dwell. Let’s talk about the functionality instead…

You can click on the columns to sort them and, if you want to add a second sort, just click on the second column holding down the shift key.

As you may have noticed from the image we have new data columns, Intent and Feature. The first shows us the type of Search Intent identified by SEOZoom for the keyword, N=Navigational, I=Informational, T=Transactional, C=Commercial or Pre-transactional, if you like, ie those keywords that we look for when we are almost ready to buy but not completely 🙂

SERP Features and SERP View Mode (New)

The second column, Features, shows you at a glance which Google Boxes have been found in SERP, from zero result to maps, news, images, videos, twitter and many others. For a quick glance this column perfectly serves its task but if you want to know more, SEOZoom has investigated really deeply and you just need to enable the SERP VIEW mode (absolute novelty) to understand exactly what happens in SERP.

As for the analysis of SERP and Features, we did not simply stop at their identification, we studied their positions and dimensions to understand how they could impact the organic traffic generated by the SERP and we added a particular icon, the ghost, which makes us understand that the first organic result (1 place on Google) is not visible in the first screen, but you will need to scroll down with your mouse to see it. This is crucial and SEOZoom is currently the only tool in the world to do this kind of Pixel-based evaluations where organic results are drawn by Google.
You all know that in the UK Google is already experimenting with Serps with the infinite scroll and that Google’s BOX elements increase more and more, where will be the first organic position? Well, SEOZoom is the only tool that is currently able to tell you that thanks to the SERP View feature.

Each element identified is shown with the Y position in Pixel where it is found in SERP and when we get to the first organic result we may find ourselves in such a situation:

We could be “unnecessarily” first, better to know it and be able to decide how to manage our strategy, this is a very frequent situation because about 10% of the Serps that we analyzed with SEOZoom show us such a scenario. First ones, but not really.

SERPs are the starting point for all the analysis that an SEO Tool must carry out, so we went even further trying to locate everything, every signal that can be useful to those who deal with SEO.
In the new suite, when you analyze a single keyword in fact you can see practically everything entering the SERP Analysis, I am going to anticipate it to you now, since we are speaking about it.

The first thing SEOZoom will tell you is how much space Google occupies with its BOXes and when it is left to organic results. In this case, almost half of the visible first page is occupied by Google elements and not organic results. The second immediate piece of information is the one concerning the Google “Direct Responses”, or search queries in which Google directly answers to the question as in the case of the Weather.

In the visualization of SERP Analysis are then explained, one by one, the various elements encountered but the big news concerns the People also Ask.

People also ask, the FAQs of users on Google

For each keyword we have made available the frequently asked questions of users, a new aspect that (for now, as always) can only be found on SEOZoom.
I really need to move the topic away from the grids again, so to show you where we used this very important new data source. It was not enough to just acquire the information, we wanted to find a way to make the data useful for practical purposes, so I am going to quickly show you some of the “places” of SEOZoom where FAQs will be shown.

What do users ask in a specific sector?

In the Niche Investigation section we have added all the most frequently asked questions that users ask on Google. Browsing and filtering them is very simple and you can use them as ideas for your editorial plan: creating useful content for users is the purpose of every website and if we know the questions we have not yet answered to, everything becomes simpler and more natural in the publishing process.

I’m writing my article, but what will users want?
(A perfect match between Search Intent and FAQ)

This is another super innovation!
We have identified all the questions that users ask with a specific Search Intent and we then show them in the editorial assistant, the moment you are writing your article!
Having the sketch of your own buyer persona has never been so simple, SEOZoom will take care of everything with its new analysis algorithms.

FAQs are also shown in other circumstances where they are considered relevant, you will gradually discover them using the new suite.

Related searches

The last aspect of SERP analysis is the related searches, also shown for each keyword and used by our algorithms to understand the relationships between keyword clusters searched by users.

We are just at the beginning but I am already sure that you are appreciating and anticipating the exclusivity of having access to the only tool with these features 🙂 but I assure you that this is still nothing, there is so much more, let’s take a look at it together…

Each piece of data is exportable

You requested the possibility to export data from all SEOZoom grids in order to use them in external tools or to create customized reports. Finally with the new version this will be possible, just click on the keypad with the Excel icon to export all the data.
The name of the export files is generated in a readable way based on the context of the data. For example, if we are in a project and in the Growing Keywords section, the file will be created following the path “site_name_GrowingKeywords.xls”, it is not excluded that in the next weeks the date can be added to the right of the file name in case of multiple exports to be managed.

A big problem, a direct solution: the context menu

When you use a suite so rich in features, sections, tools and you have such a large navigation menu, you may feel you need “that specific tool” and not remember where you are.
In fact, in the SEOZoom menus everything is where it should be, only that over the years I realized something fundamental: in every specific situation certain meaningful tools should always be visible and easily accessible for that specific context. If, for example, I am analyzing a list of keywords for which my site is ranking, I would like to be able to also analyze the SERP, analyze the keyword, or simply see the URL of my site, or again do an analysis of the search intent of the users for that keyword.

In order to meet this need I thought of defining multiple contexts for each data grid, and I am going to explain what I mean.
When a grid contains keyword the “keyword context” activates, when a grid contains a URL the “URL context” also activates, if there is both the “URL” and “KEYWORD” contexts, the “SEO context” will activate, since I wish I could evaluate that specific URL for the specific Keyword. The same happens if there is a Domain in the grid, we will know to also show operations related to the Domain.
But let’s come to the final result, which is a context menu on each grid line that will show you all the operations you can do for each of the identified contexts, let me show you some examples:

As you can see, for each row of grids you are shown all possible options, it is the easiest way to always have all the features at a single click away.
Did you notice the last menu item? ” Onpage SEO Analysis”, this is another huge news that deserves to be explained well, so let’s first introduct the brand new SEO analysis engine in real time.

SEO analysis in Real Time

Yes, that is correct, we have created the first engine in the world able to perform a complete SEO analysis in real time. I define it as unique for a very simple reason: it does not just trivially analyze the tags of your web page but it analyzes all the web pages of your competitors’ sites IN REAL TIME, it identifies the search intent of the users, evaluates Intent Match scores for your page and for those of your competitors and provides you with a number of suggestions.
The engine is very complex and has become an integral part of the SEOZoom CORE, which means that many of the new SEOZoom features make use of real-time SEO analysis to give accurate and up-to-date ratings on demand. Here below the “lighter” version of the output of the new engine, the one that you will be able to see just by clicking on the ” Onpage SEO Analysis” context menu, it will be useful to better understand if there is something to do or not on the pages, then you can use the editorial assistant which will provide you with an insane amount of details about competitors.

From the quick analysis you can immediately notice that something can be improved in the content, the intent is not a 100% match and we lack in the use of Topics and Relevant Keyword and there are also small errors related to the Onpage optimization best practices. Imagine what you would have to do by hand to get to this first analysis, you would have to analyze all the competitor pages, study the SERPs to understand the intentions of the users, analyze your web page with a spider to find errors, In short, the result of hours of work obtained in less than a second. In the Page Analysis and Keywords TABs you can see respectively all the TAGS used in your web page and the keyword for which the page is getting results in SERP.
Although this feature may already seem futuristic I assure you that we are still at the beginning, you will need a little more patience and time to understand what we put under the hood of SEOZoom 2.0, but let’s take a further step down this path.

Real Time SEO Analysis but for all sites in SERP

What? Is it a joke? NO!!!
When we are competing we cannot only evaluate our website, we must evaluate ALL competitors, their contents and understand whether or not they matched the Search Intent and how they have possibly done so, as to be able to act properly on our pages and take the highest positions in SERP.
For this reason we introduced another novelty, every time we analyze a keyword we perform SEO analysis on all competitors in SERP, in real time, and we also check their optimization status on the search intent identified. As a first information you can see if and where they used the main keyword in important tags such as Title, H1 or URL, but by clicking on the expansion details dart you can see the full SEO analysis for each competitor’s page.

Cliccando sulla freccetta possiamo visualizzare l’analisi SEO della pagina di ogni singolo competitor in SERP e tenendole aperte tutte possiamo confrontarle facilmente tra loro.

Where will we need this SEO analysis in real time?

The answer is very simple: EVERYWHERE. Whenever SEOZoom will give you information about your page, you will always have the opportunity to see how it is optimized, you will not have to make specific requests and wait for spiders to process everything. Having a Real Time engine allows us to always have fresh and updated data. In fact every time you change an article in the editorial assistant its SEO scores will be immediately updated.

SEOZoom new sections?

Impossible to explain them all here in a single post, you need a video for each new section to make you feel the importance of the innovations we offer and how much time you can save in getting the important data you need.

Next December 15th there will be our ZoomDay, we hope to do it online for the last time and then see each other again in presence in 2022. In the 8 hours live we will explain each new section of the Suite individually and, above all, the methodology to be used to quickly get results.

I will list all the new sections of SEOZoom 2.0, then in the next few days I will explain everything in detail.

  1. New Project Dashboard
From the dashboard you will now know the status of each activity you are carrying out on the project such as the progress of the SEO Checklist, the errors to be corrected in the SEO Spider and the site content requiring attention.
  2. Newest Content section
Keeping track of your site’s pages has never been so simple and effective. All your website organized for content performance and with the ability to x-ray every single web page. I leave you with this short video to make you understand the power of the new section.
  3. Time Machine in Real Time for each web page
Yet another news: now every time you notice a graph with an increase or with a decrease in traffic, just select the concerned period with the mouse and you will know EVERYTHING that happened on that web page. This is a revolutionary feature, once again our unique idea that only SEOZoom users can access (at least for quite a while:) )
    Here is a short preview:
  4. A Completely new Keyword section (Keyword Studio)
The keyword section of the new suite has solved numerous issues including data export and column sorting but these are only the most obvious aspects. Actually the new section uses a new data organization engine that allows us to process huge amount of data, even for huge domains with millions of keyword positioned, for you as users will now be the same to analyze a small domain or a super giant like YouTube.
  5. Tools for Seasonal Keyword Research
This tool is a real gem, I created it personally for the need to know what to do with the website when you approach particular times of the year. What keyword do I have to work on? On which pages?
With this tool you can find out exactly what to do in three simple steps. – We choose the reference month, say we want to work for the traffic in December and set a traffic multiplier. For example I want all the keywords that in December gain 3x times the average monthly traffic thanks to the seasonality.
    – We only filter keywords that we don’t have on the front page
    – We drag the URL column over the grid regrouping area.
At this point I have a list of web pages, each with all the seasonal keywords and their rankings. For each URL I know how much traffic I could earn in the selected month.
So I know exactly where to act, how to act and what to expect as an increase in traffic, all in exactly 5 net seconds!
In order for us to do this job, it would have taken days. But we were able to provide you with an amazing tool useful for anyone who manages online content!
  6. The new Editorial Assistant
The most powerful and complex tool that we have created in the new SEOZoom requires a dedicated video to explain all the updates and the new content analysis engine, I recommend you to participate in the ZoomDay of December 15 if you want all the info in preview, otherwise no problem: you just have to wait until we release the new video tutorials 🙂

I would stop here now. I could continue for hours to talk about the news of SEOZoom 2.0 but they really are too many, and I personally commit to create a series of training videos to be released in the Academy and on all our social channels in the coming weeks.

When can I access the new SEOZoom?

The official launch date will match SEOZoom’s birthday, December 15, also the date of the next ZoomDay, so a little bit of patience and it will be all yours.

Will SEOZoom’s prices rise?

It would be nice to always say no 🙂 but the investments of the last two years were really important. We have expanded our technical infrastructure so to be able to offer you the databases for UK, Spain, France and Germany and dedicated two years of work to the development of new algorithms and new tools, that is why in January we will inevitably need to increase the prices of the Suite.

Do not worry though, if you are already an SEOZoom customer and you will still be at the time of the price change, your monthly amount will not change, we will reserve you a loyalty price, as we have always done in the past, so that the new prices will be only applied to new users.
