Google Business Profile

The Business Profile, formerly known as Google My Business, is a free tool provided by Google that allows business owners to manage their online presence through Google services, including Google Search and Google Maps.

Originally launched in 2014, Google My Business has become an essential element for local businesses seeking to improve their online visibility and attract customers to their geographic area. In 2021, Google decided to change the tool’s name to Business Profile without changing its features and relevance to local SEO.

The Business Profile allows business owners to create and update their profiles, adding important information such as address, phone number, opening hours, photos, and services offered. Businesses can also respond to customer reviews, post updates and special offers, and gain insights into how customers search for and interact with their business.

This tool appears directly in Google search results and on Google Maps, making it extremely useful for businesses that want to be easily found and contacted by potential customers. The Business Profile is particularly beneficial for small and medium-sized businesses that operate locally, as it provides a platform to stand out and compete with larger companies, improving their visibility and ability to attract nearby customers through an optimized online presence that can be managed directly by the owners themselves.
