What a shock for SERPs: all the data from Google’s June Core Update
Sixteen days of volatility and changes in the landscape, with an immediate and visible impact. This time, the rollout of Google's June 2025 Core Update did not just cause a slight, almost painless shock, because many saw certainties disappear, with fluctuations affecting major brands, editorial sites, food, sports, and historic portals. And even though, as usual, there were no additional technical communications or operational explanations, the update exposed – once again – how illusory it is to believe that content, links, or technicalities are enough to guarantee a “place in the sun” in SERPs. December 2024 Google Core Update: analytics and winner and loser sites
Celebration or sorrow? If December has always been the month of budgets, this year Google decided to put the load on, unleashing the December 2024 Core Update right on the heels of the holidays and just seven days after the completion of the November 2024 Core Update. This update, moreover, had a very fast rollout (completed in less than a week) and extraordinary impact, moving the SERPs with a power not seen in a long time, which did not allow much room to recover from the “earthquake” of the previous update. November 2024 Google Core Update: winners and losers
For a while it even seemed like Google had forgotten about it! In fact, we had to wait a full 24 days for confirmation of the completion of the release of the November 2024 Core Update, the third major algorithmic update of the year, which officially ended on December 5 and had the classic variable, moderate to significant, impacts in several areas. As we mentioned in our presentation, this latest update follows in the wake of previous 2024 interventions, expanding the work on quality and reliability, already the focus of the changes introduced by the March and August updates. Removal of sitelink search box
Google has removed the sitelink search box, deeming it now of little use to users. Introduced in 2014, it allowed internal searches directly from the SERP, but declining usage led to its deprecation. The report in Search Console and related markup were also removed accordingly. -

Site reputation abuse: Google’s anti-spam rule
It is the latest chapter in Google's fight against spam and attempts to manipulate SERPs with abusive and manipulative practices. Site reputation abuse, in Italian “site reputation abuse,” is the policy by which the search engine is trying to curb practices known as parasite SEO, by which external content hosted on authoritative sites exploits their established reputation to gain positions in SERPs without offering real value to users. So let's try to understand what is going on, why Google decided to intervene so quickly, and which sites were affected. Read more -

Site Reputation Abuse Update
Google intensifies the rules of site reputation abuse, a practice in which third-party content exploits a host site's ranking signals to manipulate SERPs. It is now explicitly prohibited to publish such content, even with the direct involvement of the site owner. In addition, Google has updated its systems to evaluate sections of sites independently, preventing sub-sections from gaining unwarranted advantage from the domain's overall reputation. Read more -

Google August 2024 Core Update: winners and losers
“Oops, Google did it again,” we might say paraphrasing Britney Spears. Once again this year, as is now “tradition,” the Search giant launched an algorithmic update in the middle of August, which disturbed or at least threatened the vacation season of SEOs and webmasters. In fact, the impact of this August 2024 Core Update does not seem to have been that violent, nor do the claims of Google, which had spoken of an intervention launched (also) to help sites that had lost rankings and traffic with previous updates, appear confirmed. Google updates: what they are and how to recover lost rankings
They are among the most anticipated, feared and discussed events in the world of digital marketing and SEO: Google Core Updates, Google's updates, are significant and far-reaching changes that intervene in Google's search algorithms and systems, released periodically throughout the year and usually announced officially so that site owners, content producers and SEOs have the right information to understand any changes that are noticed in terms of ranking and traffic. Born out of the need to keep the world's leading search engine on the cutting edge, Google updates introduce changes that can rearrange the game, drastically affecting traffic and page visibility.
