Cache

A cache is a temporary storage component that stores data to speed up access in case of future requests.

In the context of the web, browsers store copies of web pages in a “browser cache” to reduce load times when a user visits the same page again.

Search engines, such as Google, also use a cache to store a version of a web page. When a site is indexed, the cached version is the one that is “seen” by the search engine.
